Made in USA Scales Return and Warranty Policy

 

Made in USA Scale strives for 100% customer satisfaction. We hope you are pleased with your purchase and that it provides you years of trouble free and reliable use, however if you need to return, repair or exchange a scale, the following policies apply.

 

Package arrived damaged

 

If your package arrives with visible damage to the box, we ask that you refuse to accept the delivery from the respective carrier. A replacement product, or a full refund, will be issued immediately to you.

 

Product was not working at time of arrival or shortly therafter or is not as described.

 

If your product inside is damaged, is not working properly, or was not as described, a replacement product or a 100% refund, including shipping charges, will be issued as long as we are notified within 30 days of receipt of the goods. Simply call or email and we will happy to assist you through the process.

 

All returned items must be in brand new, unused condition, with all original manufacturer warranty cards, papers, and manufacturer packaging intact. The return process is outlined below and must be followed in order to get you the proper credit.

 

The only exception to this policy are large Pennsylvania floor scales that are handled on a case by case basis due to their size and installation requirements.

 

You just want to return it

 

Unopened scales can be returned for a full credit, minus shipping charges, for the first thirty days. If the scale was opened, but is unused, and is packaged and returned in accordance to our shipping policy below, approved returns are allowed but are subject to a 20% restocking fee. The refund will not include shipping charges, or shipping charges will be deducted from your refund if your item was purchased with free freight.

 

The 20% fee will be waived if you decide to use your credit for the purchase of a new scale from our site.

 

Product that was not as described, other than large floor scales, will be issued a full credit including shipping charges incurred, during the first 30 days of ownership. In order to insure your receive the full credit, the proper packaging and shipping requirements, as listed below, must be followed. Your credit may be used towards any new purchase from our site, or a full refund will be issued the same way as your method of payment.

 

Warranty and Non-Warranty Repairs

 

Our scales are known for their durability and their excellent warranty coverage. Most repairs are done by mail; however, some are done on site at your location.

 

In order to open a warranty or non-warranty repair call please simply call us at 877-54-SCALE or send us an email at repairs@madeinusascale.com and we will be happy to assist you.

 

Return Procedures

No merchandise may be returned for credit or repair without a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA #)  that has been issued by Made In USA Scales.

 

A valid return address and authorization number will be issued by calling 877-54 Scale or by sending us an email to returns@madeinusascales.com.

IMPORTANT:

Due to sanitary reason and for the safety of our employees, items that are returned with dirt, or any foreign material, will be discarded and no refund or replacement will be issued.
For safety, we must assume that any foreign material or dirt on a product is a hazardous substance.
Please return your product in clean condition free of any foreign materials.

The issuance of an RMA# does not insure credit will be given.  All returns are evaluated upon receipt to determine the amount of credit, if any, that will be issued.

 

All returns must be made within 30 days of the issuance of the Return Authorization to be eligible to receive full credit.

 

Merchandise sold on a “as-is” basis may not be returned.

 

We recommend shipping the product with a carrier that has tracking capabilities to ensure you can track the status of your shipment.

 

Please pack your return in the original box/packaging/materials that came with your purchase.  If you do not have the original packaging, please make sure there is at least 4-6” of packaging materials around every side of the product.  If there was a transit protection device, or screw, make sure that this is also installed.

 

Remove all pans, weighing platforms and supports.  Place them in the box away from putting pressure on the weighing sensor.  Where possible, please do not have anything touching the weighing mechanism.

 

Secure all and any moving parts so that they do not move during transit.  Do not secure the weighing sensor/mechanism down as this can damage the machine. This should be free to move as it needs.
